The Bodleian Library, Oxford
Today Great Britain's second library after the British Library, the Bodleian has its origins in the oldest university library of Oxford dating from c.1320. The collection of Western manuscripts houses more than 10000 medieval manuscripts including such extraordinary items like the Flemish Book of Hours of Marie de Medici (ms. Douce 112).
